Trips and Visits
At Peafield Lane Academy, we believe that some of the most memorable learning happens beyond the classroom. Trips, visits and experiences are carefully planned to enhance our curriculum, bring learning to life and give children opportunities to experience the knowledge they are developing first-hand.
Our approach reflects our EVER curriculum principles, particularly Experiential learning. Wherever possible, children are given opportunities to see, explore, investigate and experience their learning in meaningful contexts – from local visits and fieldwork to museums, theatres, places of historical significance and residential experiences.
Trips are not simply an ‘extra’; they are purposefully linked to curriculum learning. They help children build cultural capital, develop independence and confidence, make connections between different areas of learning and create memorable experiences that deepen understanding.
Through these opportunities, we aim to take learning beyond the classroom and open up the wider world to every child.
